Wedding Weekend Schedule

Wednesday, August 6 – Arrival & Highland Games Welcome

2:30 PM – Coach departs from Brewhemia, Edinburgh

3:15 PM – Arrival at Winton Castle

• Minibus will shuttle self-catering (SC) guests to their cottages for check-in.

4:00 PM – Wedding party rehearsal in the Walled or Terraced Garden (weather dependent)

4:30 PM – Minibus returns SC guests to the Castle

5:00 PM – Highland Games begin!

• Light refreshments: tea, coffee, soft drinks, and one alcoholic drink per person

7:00 PM – Dinner from the pizza van by the croquet lawn

• Fire pits, garden games, and picnic benches available throughout the evening

9:00 PM – Early shuttle for SC guests

11:00 PM – Late shuttle for SC guests

Thursday, August 7 – Wedding Day

9:30 AM – Optional morning activities (RSVP required)

12:30 PM – Guests begin arriving at the Castle

1:15 PM – Guests invited to take their seats

1:30 PM – Wedding Ceremony

2:30 PM – Drinks Reception

• Garden games, background music, and a kids’ room with TV & DVDs

3:30 PM – Guests called to dinner

4:15 PM – Dinner served

6:30–6:45 PM – Tea, coffee & mingling outdoors

• Evening bar and fire pits open

8:00 PM – Cake cutting & first dance

9:30 PM – Late-night snacks: classic Scottish breakfast rolls

11:30 PM – Last call at the bar

12:00 AM – Shuttle for SC guests

1:30 AM – Castle closes

Friday, August 8 – Departure

10:00 AM – Breakfast for Castle guests

• If bags are packed beforehand, staff will bring them to the front hall

11:30 AM – SC guests needing transportation will be picked up by shuttle

12:00 PM – Check-out from Winton Castle

• Shuttle to train station available for Castle guests
